Neutering

Neutering is the surgical procedure of removing the testes of a male animal therefore helping control the pet population. The procedure can help your dog and/or cat live a longer, healthier life.

By neutering your pet, you are reducing or eliminating his risk for prostate and testicular cancer and reducing or eliminating undesirable behavior, including roaming, fighting, and spraying. The animal must be at least 6 months of age for this procedure.

Dr. Ashley Thorson performs neuters on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. Typically, animals are dropped off first thing in the morning and picked up between 3:30 and 4:30 the same day.
